2nd European Summer School on Fuzzy Logic and Applications
August 14 - 19, 2016
The whole SFLA event will take place in Hotel Celadenka - a newly reconstructed 4* wellness hotel placed at the silent outskirts of a picturesque village Celadna - the heart of Beskydy mountains.
The thing that no participant should be scared of, is the transportation. We will be in contact with every single participant and each participant will be provied with the transportation support. Either by consulting the options and getting hints and advices or by being directly picked up and transported. No participant will have to walk from Celadna train stop, we will give you a lift :-). The support will be maintained individually based on your arrival hours and means for transport.
Reaching the venue of the conference by car is as easy as setting up the following GPS address to your navigation system: 49.5113714N, 18.3405542E. You may reach Celadna village only from two directions, from Frydlant nad Ostravici or from Frenstat pod Radhostem. If you come from Frydlant nad Ostravici, you will go through the village center with a small square and 500 metres later on, you will turn to the left (small white sign to Podolanky announces the crossing). Then you just continue 4km in the valley until you reach the hotel. If you come from Frenstat pod Radhostem, you will first go through the second part of the village (Celadna cast 2), leave it, and then again enter the main part of the Celadna village. Soon after entering the main part of the village, turn to the right (small white sign to Podolanky) and continue 4km until you reach the hotel.
Prague airport - Prague airport is well connected to the whole Europe. It is very easy to get from Prague to Ostrava by train as there are three railway companies competing for passengers on this track.
Ostrava airport - If you fly to Prague using a Skyteam member, extending the flight ticket to Ostrava might be a comfortable variant as well.
Vienna airport - Vienna is not as perfectly connected with Ostrava as Prague, however, there are also direct trains every day. Moreover, Tiger express shuttle may be used directly from the airport for very low prices.
Katowice airport - Katowice airport may be a very interesting variant, as this airport is used by low-cost companies and its connection to Ostrava is provided by very cheap and comfortable Tiger express shuttle.
Krakow airport - Krakow airport also provides a direct connection to Ostrava is provided by the Tiger express shuttle.
Celadna has a direct train connection with Ostrava (local train, 1 hour, 2EUR). Getting to Ostrava is easy. Either you use some of the airport shuttles or, probably most frequently, you will come from Prague using a train. Train connection between Prague and Ostrava is maintained by three companies, by public Czech Railways and by private Student agency (RegioJet - yellow trains) and by private Leo Express (black trains). The frequency of the connection is 2-4 times each hour and the travel time is between 3h and 3:30. The prices differ based on the company and the used class from 8EUR to 30EUR and especially the choice of the private companies offers you 1st class tickets for say 15EUR including some refreshment for free. The connection may be found (and the ticket online bought) via this server.
